Prism's Edge

December 2023 - May 2024

Prism’s Edge is a culmination of my long-lasting interest in games and their creation. Prism’s Edge is a 2D top-down shooter created as a part of my bachelor’s thesis whose goal was to create a guide for beginner game developers that would combine the theory of game design and also show practical examples.

Prism’s Edge was created in Unity and is now available on itch.io.

Game design I & II

September 2024 - June 2025

I took a Game Design 1 and 2 courses, taught by Zdeněk Záhora, as part of my Master’s studies at Masaryk University.

The courses focused on understanding game design processes, emphasizing the importance of prototyping and playtesting, and culminated in creating a board game.

September 2024 - January 2025

As part of my Master’s studies at Masaryk University, I took a 3D modeling course where I deepened my knowledge of Blender.

Through various assignments such as working with textures, designing models, and creating animations, the course not only enhanced my proficiency in 3D modeling and animation but also gave me a deeper appreciation for the artistry and effort involved in crafting digital models and environments.

Game Development Dungeon

September 2024

Game Dev Dungeon was an 8-day-long course with workshops, playtesting and game jam.

It also featured a discussion panel with Petr Kolář from Ashborne Games, Jan Zelený the creator of Mashinky, and Milan Doležal from Brocap Studios.

Clash of Cosmos

December 2023 - January 2024

Clash of Cosmos is a strategy mobile app developed for iOS using Swift and SpriteKit framework.

The game alternates between a one-minute strategy phase, where players upgrade buildings, buy armies, and trade, and a battle phase, where they challenge AI opponents.

November 2023 - January 2024

Text Strategy is a simple D&D-like game created in Java.

Players can explore randomly generated locations, engage in battles with monsters, interact with traders in cities, and level up their characters.

Dungeon Crawler

November 2022 - January 2023

Dungeon Crawler is a rogue-like game inspired by Darkest Dungeon, created using the Qt framework and C++.

It features procedurally generated dungeons filled with various enemies.

Plain Game

March - July 2022

Plain Game is a shoot ’em up game created using Python and the PyGame library.

The player’s goal is to defend regions by shooting down enemy aircraft and bombing military convoys while dodging enemy bullets and homing missiles.

Text Strategy

October - December 2021

Text Strategy is a C++ console game inspired by games like Ikariam and Tribal Wars.

The player has to build their city, buy soldiers, and maintain diplomatic relations with AI opponents.

September 2019 - June 2020

As part of the European Union’s Interreg programme, our three-member team collaborated with an Austrian team to develop a picture-guessing game utilizing API communication.

Our team focused on creating the game itself and was responsible for integrating it with the API developed by the Austrian team.

Project Portal

September - December 2019

Project Portal was our team’s entry for JIC’s KaPoDaV contest with the goal of creating a moving 3D-printed turret from the Portal series.

With this project we won the contest and were awarded prizes for the best project voted by the JIC’s committee and also the best project voted by the attendees.

During the times when I played Counter-Strike: Global Offensive more competitively, I also designed and created several maps for the game.

Through this experience, I gained valuable skills, including using Valve’s SDK, collaborating effectively on projects with others, and publishing content on the Steam Workshop. These lessons not only enhanced my technical abilities but also deepened my understanding of the creative and collaborative processes behind level design.
